Safer Recruitment in Education 2024/25

An introduction to safer recruitment in educational settings. The course will consider the definition of safer recruitment, its importance and relevance to safeguarding and also detail key factors to consider when recruiting staff in an educational setting.

The course has been created by Ashlee Byrne, a Lead Safeguarding Officer who has worked in various settings including education, social care and sport.

The course includes multiple-choice questions and case studies to consolidate learning. The course should take approximately 40 minutes to complete.
