We didn't have this course already, but hearing about the need for it we immediately put the wheels in motion looking into having this course written and we're pleased to say this course is now live and available to TrainingSchoolz subscribers.
The Exam Invigilation course is aimed at anyone who is going to be invigilating examinations in schools. It covers the role itself, the preparations and arrangements, instructions for conducting exams, and a checklist of the most essential actions.
This course is built in alignment with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) Instructions for Conducting Examinations and we advise anyone who is going to be invigilating exams to familiarise themselves with these official guidelines.
The course includes multiple-choice questions and case studies to consolidate learning and should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.TrainingSchoolztag:www.trainingschoolz.com,2005:Story/922021-05-26T08:47:50Z2023-02-21T11:13:03ZLack of training leaves teachers unable to deal with peer-on-peer sexual abuse.<h3>Teachers 'struggle to deal with classroom sexual abuse'</h3>
<img src="https://trainingtoolz.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/blog_images/sa_training_blog.jpeg" />
According to <a href="https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-57231920", target="_new">research carried out by BBC Radio 4 and the NASUWT</a>, teachers say they <i>do not feel equipped</i> to deal with peer-on-peer sexual abuse <i>because they have had no training.</i>
This is a problem we have been tracking for a while, which is why we recently worked with specialists at <a href="https://www.chameleonpde.com", target="_new">Chameleon PDE</a> to launch a series of related online training assignments for use in schools.
The training is specifically designed to help schools and teachers deal with this and the wider issues of sexual abuse, harassment, and misogyny.
It provides staff with time for reflection about how their school's safeguarding policy and procedures include sexual abuse, harassment and misogyny, and how these address the issues raised by the students who reported to the ‘Everyone’s Invited’ website in Spring 2021.
This training is structured into five assignments, each of which are issued separately, so schools can be flexible in how they deliver them to staff.
<ul><li>Assignment 1: Introduction</li>
<li>Assignment 2: Milly case study</li>
<li>Assignment 3: Kyle case study</li>
<li>Assignment 4: Curriculum</li>
<li>Assignment 5: Further advice</li></ul>

More is being asked of schools and colleges in terms of what they can do to address these issues within their community.
To help our schools, we have worked with PSHE experts <a href="https://www.chameleonpde.com/", target="_new">Chameleon PDE</a> to put together some comprehensive training for staff around these issues.
This training will focus on safeguarding around sexual abuse, harassment and misogyny.
The purpose of this training is to provide staff with time for reflection about how your setting’s safeguarding policy and procedures include sexual abuse, harassment and misogyny and address the issues raised by the students who reported to the ‘Everyone’s Invited’ website in Spring 2021.
As with all our training, the material is included at no extra cost with a TrainingSchoolz subscription.

However, for some, the return to school may not be seen as such a good thing, anxiety of being in and around large groups of people will undoubtedly affect some students. Add to this all the other pressures that school life can bring for some, such as bullying, abuse, peer-pressure, and the on-going worries over exams and how they will be graded. Now more than ever it is vital that we are equipped and ready to help vulnerable students.
TrainingSchoolz provides a Mental well-being assignment for Teachers & Staff, that is perfect both for first time users, and as a refresher for those that have undertaken the assignment previously.
The aim of the assignment is to support schools in their understanding of policies and procedures around the mental well-being of children and young people. It provides information regarding good practice on how schools should address the situation of pupils with mental health issues.
Devised by Tim Pinto who has over 20 years' experience working in education as PSHE Head of Department, University Associate Lecturer, and Independent Consultant.

Schools have been forced to move much of their learning online, leading to a huge increase in pupils’ internet use at a time when professionals’ face-to-face contact with them – and therefore their ability to pick up on signals of concern – has been severely curtailed. Research during the pandemic indicates that abusers are taking advantage in a variety of ways, from an increase in traffic on child abuse sites to a rise in concern about ‘fake news’ which may play on vulnerabilities such as eating disorders and self-harm.
The Government has published its long-awaited Online Harms Bill, which proposes strict new guidelines governing removal of illegal content such as child sexual abuse, terrorist material and the promotion of suicide. Sites must obey new rules or face being blocked in the UK. The move has sparked debate on the role of internet and social media companies in promoting safer internet use for children and young people – what level of anonymity should be afforded to those hosting online forums, for instance, and what should be the tests for blocking those posting inappropriate content?
The Education Media Centre is hosting a series of free webinars for school leaders, with sessions from high- profile expert speakers who can offer unique insight and advice to those on the front line. The first three sessions are:
